Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced its collaboration with Kanazawa University in Japan by providing access to SciVal and consultative support in mapping the university’s research performance.
With the help of SciVal Consultants, Kanazawa University used SciVal to map out its research expertise and areas of growth, identify potential resources to accelerate funding acquisition and gather actionable insights to enhance collaboration between the university and industry partners. These analyses, which were conducted during the past months, will be used by Kanazawa University’s research administrators (URAs) as a basis for defining the university’s future research strategy.
“Using Elsevier’s SciVal suite we have been able to make a concrete industry-university matching list and benchmark local funding opportunities,” said Professor Koetsu Yamazaki, Vice President for Research and Director of Organization of Frontier Science and Innovation at Kanazawa University. “Based on these findings we have now outlined various interesting industry-university cooperation projects which we aim to incorporate into the university’s research strategy.”
