Ingenta and Kudos have announced a new partnership to make the Kudos service available to publishers hosted on the Ingenta Connect platform.
Kudos works with academic publishers to help scholarly authors to maximise the visibility and impact of their published articles. The service provides an easy-to-use platform for creating information to help searching, for sharing information to drive discovery, and for measuring and monitoring the effect of such activity. Researchers using Kudos can expect increased usage of and citations to their publications, and enable publishers to engage more fully with their author communities and thereby increase publication performance.
The 300 publishers aggregated or hosted directly on Ingenta Connect, including many university presses, can now take advantage of this new relationship and its many benefits with immediate effect.
Byron Russell, Head of Ingenta Connect, said; “As part of a drive to support the discovery of both subscription and Open Access content on Ingenta Connect we are delighted to be working together with Kudos, which we believe will enable our publishing partners to develop even stronger relationships between their authors, readers and researchers.”
Ann Lawson, Head of Business Development at Kudos added; “We’re delighted to work with Ingenta Connect to support more publishers to increase the impact of their publications through Kudos. By explaining and sharing their work in an organised and measurable way, authors can ensure that their peer and collaborative networks are aware of their publications. For publications, this means great author support, potential for more awareness and more usage of publications, plus insights into author behaviour.”
