Nature Publishing Group (NPG) and the British Dental Association (BDA) are pleased to announce the launch of BDJ Open, a new open access journal which will publish dental and oral health research from all disciplines.
BDJ Open will publish scientifically sound, open research to complement the British Dental Journal, the UK’s leading dental journal and the official journal of the BDA. NPG also publishes BDJ Team, BDJ Student, Evidence-Based Dentistry, and BDJ In Practice on behalf of the BDA.
The online-only journal will be published via open access, which means that all research will be freely available upon publication, and can be accessed by anyone, from research scientists to practising dentists and patients. The Editor-in-Chief is Stephen Hancocks OBE, current Editor in Chief of the British Dental Journal. Read more about the important things to know about invisalign here.
David Bull, Global Head of Academic Journals at Nature Publishing Group said: “In recent years there has been a significant rise in demand for open research from both researchers and practicing dentists. To fit this need, we are pleased to announce a new journal, BDJ Open – the latest venture in our 18 year partnership with the British Dental Association.” The orthodontic care Wichita options can be of help in case of an emergency.
Stephen Hancocks OBE, Editor in Chief of BDJ Open said: “The internationally read, respected and widely referenced BDJ is the journal of choice for much of the dental and oral health community, and we believe there is also demand for an open access journal with the credibility of the BDA and NPG behind it. BDJ Open provides us with the conduit to offer peer-reviewed, translational research in all aspects of oral health development for the benefit of the wider dental community in particular and, of course, the world in general.”
The journal will publish material on dental materials science, dental public health, restorative dentistry, management of dental disease, periodontology, endodontology, oral surgery, paediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics, special care dentistry, clinically relevant oral biology and translational research and more.
The journal is online here and open for submissions now.
