Karger Publishers has entered into an Open Access (OA) agreement with the MALMAD (Israel Center for Digital Information Services) Consortium.
Karger Publishers has finalized a comprehensive Publish & Read deal with MALMAD, which is now available to all members of the consortium. The contract allows access to all Karger eJournals including backfiles, as well as providing the option for all affiliated researchers to publish OA in Karger journals at no additional cost to authors. This is Karger Publishers’ first OA agreement in Israel.
Julia Kersebaum, Manager, Academic & Research Institutions at Karger Publishers, comments: “We are delighted to have worked so closely with MALMAD to develop and finalize a Publish & Read offer, which brings us a step closer to our goal of a sustainable transition to OA. With this agreement Karger Publishers will support Israeli scientists to more effectively and openly communicate their research.”
MALMAD Director Dr. Sigal Lahav Scher adds: “We are excited to have a Publish and Read agreement with Karger Publishers, as it strengthens our shared aim to move away from traditional subscriptions to full and immediate Open Access through transformative agreements.”
