OUP appoints new Group Finance Director from Google

Google’s Giles Spackman has been appointed Group Finance Director at Oxford University Press (OUP).

Spackman, who is currently Senior Finance Director, Global Business Organization, at Google Inc., has gained extensive experience in the media and digital industries. He has held CFO and strategic leadership roles at Time Inc., Pearson, and AOL, and has been with Google since 2009.

He will join OUP in December 2013, working from OUP’s head office in Oxford.
