Peter Lang Publishing Inc. Restructures

    The New York City based publisher reorganizes its editorial structure with a team of three new acquisitions editors and two new editorial assistants working under Publishing Director Dr. Farideh Koohi-Kamali from October 11th, 2016

    Following the appointment of Dr. Farideh Koohi-Kamali as Senior Vice President of Peter Lang Publising Inc. in April 2016, the US division of Swiss academic publishing group Peter Lang AG has reorganized its editorial team:

    Meagan Simpson follows Michelle Salyga as Acquisitions Editor of the Humanities list, focusing on Literature, History, and Religion. Simpson is a PhD candidate in English and was Managing Editor of Nineteenth-Century Contexts: An Interdisciplinary Journal produced by Taylor & Francis.

    Kathryn Harrison takes over from Mary Savigar as the new Media & Communication/Performing Studies Acquisitions Editor. In her previous job, Harrison was Assistant Managing Editor at Enslow Publishing.

    Sarah Bode is responsible for Peter Lang Publishing’s award-winning Education list. At Oxford University Press she was in charge of print and digital marketing for OUP’s English Language Teaching division.

    Michael Doub was appointed as editorial assistant for both the Media & Communication and Humanities lists.

    Dr. Koohi-Kamali – with support from editorial assistant Tim Swenarton – will build a new program in Politics/International Studies/Regional Studies, Business & Economics.

    Additional changes are introduced to each list concerning their publishing format and number of titles. The publisher’s mid-term goal is to commission full programs in Politics/International
