ProQuest Launches Brand New UKI Edition of Academic Complete

ProQuest® ebooks company ebrary® has created a brand new version of their award winning Academic Complete™ subscription collection  designed specifically for UK and Irish students, faculty and researchers with over 4,000 unique, region specific titles.

Recognising the importance of providing key content to this region, this new edition of Academic Complete delivers more than 115,000 titles, and is the first locally-tailored content edition which goes beyond territorial rights adjustments.  Providing simultaneous, multi-user access the UK and Ireland edition contains over 4,000 specially selected titles which are only available to this region and consist of the most relevant publishers and topics.  This local version will only be available in the UK and Ireland with the same overall number of titles as the standard Academic Complete.

Kari Paulson, ProQuest vice president and general manager, ebooks said, We are delighted to offer the UK and Ireland this new local edition of Academic Complete.  Providing unique and relevant content to support research, teaching and learning outcomes is at the forefront of what we at ProQuest aim to provide.”

Included in the purchase of the new Academic Complete UK and Ireland version is the LibraryThing for Libraries Book Display Widget. This enhancement drives discoverability and usage of titles by enabling libraries to easily create virtual book/ebook displays and highlights key titles in their collection both front and center on their homepage, Facebook page, blog and other digital display areas.

Winner of multiple awards, Academic Complete is a multidisciplinary subscription collection that provides a comprehensive foundation of ebooks for researchers at all levels. It can be de-duplicated against the library’s firm and Patron Driven Acquisition (PDA) titles from both ebrary and EBL. With scholarly ebooks from leading publishers and coverage across all academic disciplines, Academic Complete is an ideal foundation for a university ebook collection. Upholding institutional missions to provide the most relevant British and Irish content for students of law, social sciences, history, English Language and English Literature is now even easier with this Academic Complete UK and Ireland edition.
