ResearchGate and Bentham Science Publishers announce Journal Home partnership

ResearchGate, the professional network for researchers, and Bentham Science Publishers, a science, technology, and medical publisher for academic researchers and industry professionals, today announced a new partnership utilising ResearchGate’s innovative Journal Home offering.

Bentham Science Publishers’ peer-reviewed scholarly journals are read by millions of researchers worldwide. Through Journal Home, a set of six Bentham Science journals will now benefit from enhanced visibility with ResearchGate’s community of more than 25 million researcher members. The journals included in the partnership are Current Molecular Pharmacology; Current Medical Imaging; The Open Dentistry Journal; The Open Cardiovascular Medicine Journal; The Open Ophthalmology Journal;andCurrent Traditional Medicine.

Journal Home boosts readership and authorship through the ResearchGate platform. As part of the product, all version-of-record article content from these journals, including archive content and new articles upon publication, will also be available on ResearchGate. Dedicated Journal Profiles for all included journals are now active, providing key information and content from the journals, as well as uniquely enabling ResearchGate members to explore how their own network is connected to a journal – helping them to understand if a journal is the right fit for their research.

Authors in these journals additionally benefit from having their articles automatically added to their user profiles on ResearchGate – providing them with valuable insights on who is reading and citing their work, and presenting a unique way to understand and connect with their readers.

“Bentham Science Publishers strive to deliver new and innovative ways to increase engagement with our journals,” said Dr. Gareth Dyke, Director at Bentham Science Publishers. “We’re pleased to be partnering with ResearchGate to bring our authors a new way to engage with readers through Journal Home, and look forward to seeing the results of our collaboration.”

“We’re pleased to see Bentham Science Publishers start its Journal Homejourney with these initial titles,” said Sören Hofmayer, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at ResearchGate. “Journal Home offers Bentham a unique opportunity to not only increase engagement with their journals but to also understand who the community around their journals are. It’s these powerful insights that can enable Bentham to grow quality engagement, including attracting new, relevant authors. We’re excited to see what the partnership will deliver for researchers globally.”
