ARL Publishes Annual Impact Report 2024

2024 was an eventful year for the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) and its membership of research libraries and archives in major public and private universities, federal government agencies, and large public institutions in Canada and the US. ARL’s 2024 impact report enumerates the vibrant engagement of the Association’s membership that empowers and advocates for research libraries and archives to shape, influence, and implement institutional, national, and international policy and develop the next generation of leaders. The report also demonstrates the value created by and for membership in an Association that works collaboratively with many other organizations to advance equitable access to knowledge.

“In 2024, ARL and its members accomplished so much together—advancing research, education, and collaboration in meaningful ways,” said Andrew K. Pace, ARL executive director. “While challenges may be on the horizon, with the power of our collective strength, we are poised to build a resilient future for research libraries and the communities we serve. ARL remains dedicated to meeting scholars’ needs now and in the future.”
