BMJ appoints Mark Davies as new Non-Executive Director

Healthcare knowledge provider BMJ is pleased to announce the appointment of a new non-executive director to the company’s board.

Mark Davies has been a GP in West Yorkshire for over 20 years. He also held a number of clinical leadership roles at the Department of Health, Cabinet Office and, most recently, was executive medical director of the Health and Social Care Information Centre.

Previously he worked at global health informatics specialist MedeAnalytics as European Medical Director, developing population health management systems.  His career spans healthcare, data and health technology and government consulting.

BMJ Chairman Jay Lippincott comments: ‘ Mark is hugely experienced in clinical leadership, and health management systems, and will bring a unique perspective to our board. We are delighted that Mark has agreed to join us.’  

The appointment is effective immediately.
