BMJ appoints new Marketing Director

BMJ, one of the world’s leading healthcare knowledge providers, is delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Hird as Marketing Director.

Caroline brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the marketing and STM publishing world. Her previous role was as Head of Market Intelligence at Elsevier Health Solutions. Caroline has been at Elsevier since 2002, where she started out as Executive Director of Marketing.

Caroline will report directly to BMJ CEO Tim Brooks, who said: “Caroline brings valuable knowledge and experience to our business as we continue to expand our activities to new and diverse professional audiences around the world. Effective, strategic marketing will be a crucial part of our success, and Caroline will help us to achieve that to the very highest standard. She will ensure that the voice of the user is always salient in our decision-making.”
