Royal Society of Chemistry partners with Dutch consortium for landmark journals deal

The Royal Society of Chemistry has announced a partnership with SURFmarket, a Dutch consortium representing research universities across the Netherlands. The two-year agreement grants access to the full range of Royal Society of Chemistry content and services, in 2019 and 2020, while supporting the transition to Open Access, a shared goal between the RSC and the scientific community in the Netherlands.

Eight of the 13 institutions have signed up to the Read & Publish model, which allows articles published in Royal Society of Chemistry journals by corresponding authors to be made publicly available at the time of publication, at no further direct cost to the author.

The license allows individual institutions and members of the Dutch chemical society to offer valuable resources and 100 percent Open Access publishing to the scientific community in the Netherlands.
