Elsevier Starts Collaboration with Newly Established Siberian Regional Universities Consortium

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical, and medical information products and services, today announced its official collaboration with the Siberian Regional Universities Consortium, providing 9 universities in Central Siberia with access to ScienceDirect and Scopus beginning in 2013. This will provide Siberian researchers with access to research literature from around the world, allowing them to stay abreast of scientific developments in their field.

The Siberian Regional Universities Consortium led by Novosibirsk State Technical University was established in November of this year. The Siberian region of Novosibirsk is one of Russia’s key scientific research centers making a significant contribution to Russia’s science and innovation community.

Professor Nikolay Pustovoy, Rector of Novosibirsk State Technical University said, “The Siberian Regional Universities Consortium is a strategic initiative, launched to drive continuous innovation in our scientific community – from early career researchers to experienced professors. By providing the Consortium members access to scholarly resources, such as ScienceDirect and Scopus, through our collaboration with Elsevier we are able to help Siberian universities broaden their regional and global academic network and enrich their research output.”
