Kudos, the award-winning service for accelerating research impact, has today announced that it has extended the sign-up period for complimentary access to Kudos Pro, after more than 5,000 researchers signed up in the first wave. The company is providing the global academic community with complimentary access to its premium service to ensure researchers can continue to communicate their work while many activities are disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic; researchers from over 1,000 institutions around the world are using Kudos Pro to maximize communication, engagement and impact potential of their research.

“We’re delighted that so many researchers are finding Kudos Pro useful at this time,” commented Melinda Kenneway, CEO of Kudos. “We’re also excited that some major organizations – from scientific societies to providers of other research tools – are partnering with us to extend this offer to their communities. We’ll be making more announcements about that very shortly – but the existing level of ‘grassroots’ sign-up shows that the global research community is really embracing new methods of communication to help them connect more directly with broad audiences that may be interested in or benefit from their research.”

Kudos Pro comprises a toolkit for showcasing research to broad audiences. Researchers can quickly create profile pages to explain their work, generate briefings for specific audience groups, connect outputs that are distributed across other websites, and track communications across a range of media. Results are collated for easy reporting and analysis. The company provides full guidance and support to assist researchers in maximizing the reach and uptake of their work.

Researchers simply need to register and activate their 60 days’ free access.
